I recently had the pleasure of working with a beautiful small business called The Sugar Dealer, an online bakery of sorts, they sell cakes, brownies, cookies- the works!

And their website features an incredible ‘build your own cake’ section that got me thinking… I wonder how many people know about this?! 

The Sugar Dealer offers all sorts of sweet goodies and delivers them straight to your door!

AND the best part…their cakes are completely customisable!

 So, of course we had to incorporate a custom cake builder into their website!

Website ‘plugins’ are software applications that add a set of functionalities to a website. 

They’re used to enhance the functionality of your site or add new features to the default setup. 

They allow you to go beyond what the basic installation offers.

In a way, a default website or shop front, like shopify or squarespace, is like a phone on factory settings. 

It has several features pre-installed that cover the core functionality of what it’s designed to do… but, what if you want more?

More features that are specifically useful to your business- like a customisable cake maker?!

To do this, you need to install other applications or add-ons that can help you achieve all kinds of fun features.
